A year on from Heath Ledger's untimely death, flowers are placed outside his New York apartment by fans

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - A year after his tragic death, a flower memorial is placed at Heath Ledger's SoHo apartment by a faithful fan. His Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor came on the anniversary of his death. The apartment remains empty, as the building owner can't yet bring himself to rent it to another person.
