Business Update: Stimulating rally

U.S. stocks posted a modest gain on Wednesday as lawmakers announced a $789 billion stimulus deal they hoped to send to President Obama by week's end. The Dow gained 50 points to 7,939. The S&P 500 climbed 6 points to 833. The Nasdaq rose 5 points to 1,530. Conway Gittens reports from New York.
