MAVRIXONLINE.COM Exclusive!! Joaquin Phoenix arrives for a live Performance that ended in the actor jumping off the stage and confronting an audience member who was heckling him at LIV nightclub in Miami Beach. Security guards dragged him back on stage and escorted him away. During his performance he stopped to say, "We have a (double-expletive) in the audience," before jumping into the crowd. It was not immediately clear whether the two men actually exchanged any blows. It's unknown whether the confrontation and his announcement to quit acting and start rapping was real or a prank, but actor Casey Affleck was on the sidelines recording the whole scene on camera. Back in October, Phoenix's publicist confirmed the actor was making a career switch. In January he performed at a Las Vegas nightclub and soon after he made a strange appearance on David Letterman's "Late Show." Phoenix came out on stage around 2 am at the cub smoking a cigarette and wearing a disheveled dark suit, sneakers and his scraggly long hair and beard. He began rapping to a beat played by the DJ and nodding to the music, although most of the lyrics were unintelligible. Then he responded to someone who appeared to be heckling him in the audience near the stage and the confrontation took place at LIV nightclub at the Fontainbleau Hotel. The performance was presented by Belvedere IX. Miami, FL. 3/11/09 Fees must be agreed prior to publication.
