LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Chaos in Pershing Square, Downtown Los Angeles, as revelers celebrate World Pillow Fight Day. Los Angeles is one of around 70 cities worldwide who took part in the annual event, which is set up online through different social networking sites and pillowfightday.com. The promoters of the fight made it known through their website that they did not have any permits or permission from the city and that the point of it was to be an independent, spontaneous event. Despite this, the organisers also encouraged people to bring along their own bags to help clean up after their "spontaneous" fight.
