Heptacodium miconioides or seven son flower is a great small tree to grow in the landscape. Wonderful bark, late flowers and small size make this an ideal tree for the homeowner. This plant was introduced to the United States in the late part of the 20th century. Native to China, the genus was first collected in 1907 by by E.H. Wilson in Hupei Province, China.
