China launches first climate plan

Beijing pledges climate change policy but says it will not sacrifice economic growth. China has unveiled its first ever national plan to tackle climate change just days before President Hu Jintao attends a meeting of leaders of the Group of Eight industrialised nations where global warming is high on the agenda.
