Cashew harvest reaps small bounty for Guinea-Bissau
July 20, 2009
The cashew nuts of Guinea-Bissau are reputed to be among the best in the world. Three-quarters of the population of the west African country depends on the industry. But the potential of this rich bounty is not fully exploited - the country doesn't have the means of processing the nuts in situ. The plan now is to help concentrate cashew revenues at home.
