UN chief orders humanitarian team to Sri Lanka

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has ordered the immediate despatch of a humanitarian team to northern Sri Lanka, where thousands of civilians are trapped as government troops make a final push to crush the Tamil Tiger rebel insurgency.
