Town Sports Under SEC Investigation

Shares of gym operator Town Sports International (CLUB) are plunging this morning after the company announced late yesterday that the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating the companys deferral of payroll costs related to membership sales. In a regulatory filing, Town Sports said the SEC issued a formal investigation order on September 14.
