Renewed bird flu fears in Malaysia

Singapore halts poultry imports from Malaysia's Selangor after the H5N1 virus was found in chickens. Singapore has said it is suspending all poultry and egg imports from Selangor, Malaysia, after the H5N1 bird flu virus was found in chickens near the capital. Singapore's Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority said that poultry imports from the disease-free zones of Johor, Malacca, Negri Sembilan and Perak in Malaysia would not be affected by the suspension.
