Power Earnings: Entergy, Consol Energy

Power producer Entergy (ETR) said its third quarter net fell by 3.2 percent to $455.2 million, or $2.32 per share, as compared to $470.3 million, or $2.41 per share, in the same quarter last year. Revenue was down by more than a quarter, to $2.94 billion, and adjusted earnings fell short of analyst expectations at $2.40 per share, as compared to $2.50 per share last year.
