Hospira Earnings Jump 42%

Hospira (HSP) shares are in the green Tuesday after it posted third quarter earnings of $116.2 million, or 71 cents per share, as compared to $81.8 million, or 51 cents per share, in the same quarter last year. The medical supply and drug maker said sales were up 8.9 percent to $1.01 billion, helped in part by the launch of a new generic drug.
