POLLS OPEN FOR FINAL FRENCH VOTE
June 17, 2007
French voters are back to the polls for the final round of parliamentary elections tipped to give right-wing President Nicolas Sarkozy an overwhelming majority. Sarkozy's party, the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), has been riding high on the president's popularity since he was elected last month on a pledge to undertake ambitious reforms to curb unemployment, jumpstart economic growth and clamp down on immigration. Images of a polling station in Paris and comments from voters from both sides of the political spectrum.
