Gaza: Emergency cabinet meets

The new Palestinian emergency cabinet meets in the West Bank vowing to exert authority over the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. The new cabinet, formed last week, is being bolstered by promises of European Union aid as conditions for Gaza's residents worsen after factional fighting in which Hamas gunmen routed security forces dominated by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.
