Doctors suspend separation surgery

The operation to separate conjoined twins Sofia and Mariana Rodriguez was stopped after 70 per cent of the procedure was carried out. The twins, born in Medellin on September 19, are connected at the head and share neurological integrity, a circumstance that makes the surgery risky.
