Rite Aid December Sales Up 0.6%; Walgreen Boosted By Goldman

Rite Aid (RAD) said today its same-store sales rose 0.6% for the four weeks ending December 25, compared to the same period last year. Front-end same-store sales at the drugstore chain rose 0.1%, and pharmacy same-store sales, impacted somewhat negatively by generic introductions, rose 0.1% as well.
