Roswell teen dies in accidental self-shooting

A teenage boy is dead after police say he accidentally shot himself in the head during a party. Officers were called to the home in the 600 block of East Cherry Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday. They say when they got there they found Alberto Villela, 17, dead from a gun shot wound to the head. Police say they found drugs and alcohol inside in the home and were definite factors in the shooting. This is the third shooting involving teens or children in the past six months in Roswell.
