pouring from a broken water line now for at least 7 hours. this is a live picture of the scene near san mateo and gibson in southeast albuquerque. and tonight we are getting word from workers that water will continue to flow through the night. eddie garcia is live at the scene to tell us why no one is stopping the leak. eddie. it looks like minute thumbnail 10:00 pm crews are routing all this water down a storm drain just down the street...and according to workers we spoke to out here today they're just going to let it flow through the night to keep from shutting off service to customers. folks living here say these breaks are happening too often. i just came home today and there's water in the street and i'm already under the impression that there's no water on right now. it's something edward beltz just expectnow. almost the six months i've lived here it's happened 2-3 times. our camera was rolling here at ladera and anderson this afternoon just after three when it was reported -- when we went live at 6 the water was still flowing - and tonight the leak continues. beltz says these water line breaks wreak havoc on his families routine. just getting the girls ready for school and all that is really hard in the morning because there's no water.
