between settling into her new office - and grappling with the state's budget.....she still hasn't had time to unpack and move into the governors mansion.... but governor martinez still took some to show our gadi schwartz where she'll be living the next four years. he's live in santa fe with a look. gadi. for now- governor susana martinez and her husband chuck franco are camped out in a small guest bedroom- until the mansions new paint is dry --and they find some time to unpack. "i've been on the campaign trail for 16 months- i've lived out of a suitcase been in every hotel in every corner of new mexico and it's not that different right now we still live out of a suitcase we still havn't compelty unpacked. and this door is where the private part starts when we got here it was a little smokey... i think governor richardson certainly enjoyed his cigars and so in order to get rid of that odor i think they wanted to make sure to paint theres another bedroom and full bath where the painting is taking place. and there is an office space here. and i really like to work late at night or on the weekend in the office. i just haven't had a chance to unpack my photos and hang them up and i still have stuff over here but i did unpack my closet this is really really very nice i have not had this kind of closet space and so this is something i really enjoy 2 full sinks and we have just kind of left our stuff this is where chuck and i live right now, we live in here we have actually gotten rid of a lot of suitcases once we were able to move them into the closet. down this way, the patio is beautiful the view is gorgeous you know its beautiful, it's in good condition its beautiful i just have to make sure that we respect it because it is a public building and make sure we take care of it like we are supposed to like the tenants that we are. martinez says she hopes to be finished moving in in the next week or so. and that guest room she's staying in will be converted into a room for her special needs sister who will begin to come up and visit- staying in the house 4 days out of the week
