year old boy rushed to the hospital by his mother and her boyfriend has died. the mother and boyfriend are now facing child abuse charges. cristina rodda is here with the disturng new details in this case. cristina? three year old leland valdez died at unm hospital early this morning. this is a picture of leland with his grandmother. although it's hard to see his father andrew valdez gave us this picture of leland in the hospital. he wants the public to see what was done to his son. the santa fe undersheriff says the toddler had injuries to his head, face, stomac back and legs. he says the injuries appear to have happened over a period of time. the boy's mother tabetha vanholtz and her boyfriend steven gallegos of pojoaque-- took leland to christus st. vincent hospital on monday. they told doctors the boy fell and had seizures. doctors called sante fe county deputies saying the injuries didn't match the explanation given to them. leland was then airlifted to unm hospital.
