jeff maher is live in the newsroom to explain why it may be difficult for police to catch the suspect. jeff. police are looking for a white cadillac that was seen leaving the motel shortly after the shooting -- but beyond that, they just don't have a lot of information about the suspect. just before nine this morning, police were called out to the quality suites off gibson near university after reports of shots fired. on the third- floor, in one of minute thumbnail 05:02 pm the rooms, they found a woman inside who had been shot in the head. she was rushed to u-n-m hospital. police spent the next several hours collecting idence inside the room and talking to other guests. we talked to one guest who is staying just a few rooms down from where the woman was shot. she says she saw someone suspicious before the shooting. i went down for breakfast and i came up and i saw some guy in a black hoodie but i didn't think anything and at eight o'clock she was shot. where did you see him? right next to the room police are not releasing the woman's name or where she is from.
