ne schooldistrict has been getting a lot of criticism from parents on how it handled the situation this morning. belen consolidated schools didn't delay or cancel school this morning ... only to end up dismissing school early. our kayla anderson got some answers from the district. belen consolidated schools spent the day answering to angry, inconvenienced parents. "you're kind of darned if you do and darned if you don't type situation." the district says the roads didn't seem too bad around 4-30 this morning. so they sent out busses like normal. "but once the busses were out on the road, we felt it was extremely important to get the students in a safe place and we felt that schools were the safest place to get them to." just a few hours later-- the district revaluted-- electing to send students home early. "most of us thought it was pretty minute thumbnail 06:07 pm stupid we had to come cause it wasn't safe for parents and it was hard for them to come get us and take us."
