San Juan Co. sheriff searching for citizen deputies

San Juan County Sheriff's department starts a new training class Wednesday night for their reserve deputy program. The sheriff's department wants 50 people to fill the un-paid positions. Candidates must first complete a timed obstacle course to be considered and then complete four months of training. Sergeant Daniel Webb with the San Juan County Sheriff's department said the reserve officers will be trained to work alongside paid deputies.
