nd we are going to keep the temperature you see at the bottom of the screen up non-stop through tomorrow evening -- so you can always know just how cold it is here minute thumbnail 05:10 pm in albuquerque. and we'll have updates on this artic blast hitting new mexico in each of our newscasts and at kob dot com. the family of a couple -- who police say was killed by prison escapees--- is calling for the death penalty. today we spoke with the family of linda and gary haas after one of the suspects stood before a federal judge. jeremy jojola has the story. it's been six months since the brutal murder of linda gary hass of oklahoma. as they traveled through new mexico---they were fatally shot, and their bodies burned with their trailer near santa rosa. arizona prison escapees tracy province, john mccluskey, and accomplice casslyn welch have been charged with the couple's murder. for the first time, province appeared in a federal court in albuquerque on the murder charges this morning---and pleaded not guilty. "and actually today is the sixth months after the murders. and so i think it was kind of appropriate that we got to see him in court."
