right now aps is dealing with some major flooding after another waterline break at one of its schools. now crews are racing to clean it all up in time for school monday morning. eddie garcia is live at highland high school where repairs are underway. eddie. joe these trucks you see behind me are pumping thousands and thousands of gallons of water that flooded into the basement of the main building. down there are the schools boilers which will now have to be completely disassembled, dried and put back together. this is a massive job that a-p-s says will continue around the clock. we're told this all happened sometime overnight when a waterline in the courtyard busted - that water then ran down this ramp with enough pressure to bust down these double doors leaving behind an untold amount of damage in the basement. so the basement is flooded and all the mechanical equipment that's inside of there, we have about 6 to 8 feet of water depending on the area of the base. we're told once the water is drained they can then assess the damage to see exactly what needs to be repaired. one of the supervisors for these pumping trucks estimates there's over 100- thousand gallons of water down there - which will take crews well into the night hours just to drain. live at highland high, eddie garcia kob eyewitness news 4. aps is also dealing with pipes that burst at at least 4 other schools. this is video we shot today at jackson middle school... you can see a lot of water coming from the building. we're also told there are breaks at cibola high school, monroe middle school, and sananito elementary school. aps officials tell us repairs are on track and schools should be open on monday
