new mexico gas company" will have the chance to defend itself before the state senate today. angry customers left in the cold for days... will also take the floor to share thei stories of living without heat for days. sharon erickson has details in this morning's big story: crystal and antoinette... today, "new mexico gas company" will testify before a "committee of the minute thumbnail 05:31 am whole" at the capitol... as senators look for answers as to what caused the natural gas crisis during one of the worst coldnaps in recent memory. earlier this week ... senator carlos cisneros of questa... hand delivered a letter to the state's attorney general... requesting a task force to investigate how and why new mexico customers lost natural gas service. the senate is also opening up the floor to the public-- who will get the chance to voice their frustrations about the long delay in restoring their natural gas. the legislature wants to come up with recommendations on how to prevent a major loss of service in the future.
