Crews responding to car fire find charred bodies

New Mexico State Police are investigating a car fire near Ojo Caliente that left two dead. Officials say crews responded to reports of a fire around 4 a.m. Monday at a rest stop in Rio Arriba County off Highway 285. Once firefighters arrived and put the flames out they discovered the charred remains of two bodies inside the car. No other information is available at this time but an investigation is underway.
