Child abuse caught on video, staff member still not charged
March 01, 2011
A man caught on camera abusing a 12-year-old boy with autism has yet to be charged after KOB Eyewitness News 4 first exposed the video in November. It was recorded at Camelot in southeast Albuquerque, a facility that offers 24-hour care to children who have autism. The 37-year-old man seen kneeing the child in the head is still free, and was fired from the facility on an unrelated incident before the video was aired. KOB Eyewitness News 4 immediately called authorities after the video was obtained through a source, and gave a copy to Albuquerque Police.
