Botanical garden planned for Farmington

nderway to build a botanical garden in the four corners. today, farmington city councilors heard about plans for a garden featuring a variety of plants from the region. the proposed site would use a mix of privately owned and city land. organizers say their goal today was just to see if people would actually support the project. "it's not something that we're going cap and hand and saying please give us money as the first order of business. the main thing we need to know is that people like the idea" organizers on the project say they have enough money to secure financing and hope to have the gardens ready to open within the next five years
