MedAssets Partners with HT Systems to Market PatientSecure

MedAssets (MDAS) today announced that it has partnered with HT Systems to jointly market PatientSecure, a biometric patient identification system, to enhance its Access Integrity suite of solutions. PatientSecure protects the privacy of patient biometric information through advanced encryption technology. It allows healthcare providers to capture a patient's biometric identity by scanning his or her vein pattern in the palm of the hand during the registration process. PatientSecure can then help to accurately identify the patient at the point of care, the company said. MDAS shares are down 2.55% to $15.26.
