"i feel tricked to be honest, betrayed because she clearly said we will study it first, you know we will see it's validity before we touch it, and that didn't happen." overnight... the house passed the film tax credit bill. it caps subsides for productions in new mexico at 50- million dollars-- with a 25- percent rebate. cunningham says ... the impact of this will be felt. just last year... 65 million dollars was paid out to production companies for doing business in the state. at the time-- there was no cap on subsides paid out. today... the governor's office released a statement saying... had the film subsides not been trimmed by roughly 23- million, cuts to public education would have nearly doubled.
