Roswell police search for suspects in burglary spree

roswell police are looking for the suspects who broke into three businesses and a church in less than an hour this morning. joe bartels talked with one of the business owners and is live in roswell with more.... joe? the early morning crime spree was over within 50 minutes. roswell police say the thieves stole items, smashed windows and caused hundreds of dollars in damage. it all started just before 4 this morning at bullock's jewelry on main street. "they said there had been a break in, i come down, and the middle widow was busted and they got a clock and a cross." this isn't the first time bullock's has been targeted. "we've been here 86 years and these last two incidents have been in the last 2 years." police were on scene within minutes t the thieves were already on their way to their next target. pro sports jersey plus just a few miles away on south main. the thieves used a rock to smash the glass door but weren't able to get inside. a security camera was rolling at the time but it's not clear if it captured any good video of the suspects. from there-- church on the move on brasher was next. the children's ministry glass door was broken to get inside. the thieves tried to steal this tv -- it was found outside next to the building -- but you can see they did some damage. "due to the short time frame, and again, it appears similar methods were used to gain entry, we believe they are all related." "i was, excuse me, just pissed because i am tired of people that can't go out and get a real job." but the crooks weren't done yet... the sun county market around the corner on south sunset was hit. the group broke the glass door and stole lighters and cigarettes before getting away. investigators are considering the possiblity that this was some sort of gang initiation. anyone with information is asked to call the chaves county crimestoppers. reporting live in roswell joe bartels kob eyewitness news four.//
