The major U.S. equity indices are trading lower Monday as investors digest the impact of Japan's earthquake and tsunami.The Bank of Japan is looking to minimize the economic blow from the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear emergency by doubling the size of its asset-purchase program and putting 15 trillion yen into money markets to ease liquidity concerns.In corporate news, Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) shares are down 2.80% at $41.74 after the company announced that its Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea theme parks are expected to be shut down for about 10 days following the earthquake.General Electric (NYSE:GE) shares are down 4.08% at $19.53. The company designed the six reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan.The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) is trading 1.17% lower at 11,903.17, the S&P500 (INX) is trading 1.33% lower at 1,287.05, and the Nasdaq Composite (IXIC) is trading 1.18% lower at 2,683.60.
