restrictions go into effect for albuquerque and rio rancho. the water authority will enforce strict daytime water restrictions starting today. sharon erickson joins us live from downtown albuquerque with details in this morning's big story. sharon? . crystal and antoinette... this year's rain totals are way below normal... and the spring drought conditions have the water authority asking for your help to conserve water. starting today... if you live in bernalillo county, you won't be able to water your lawn between 11 a-m and 7 p-m. these restrictions last through october. those that violate the hours could be fined. if you follow the voluntary "water by numbers program"... you should only by watering twice a week in april and may. the restrictions are meant to help the water authority reach its goal of 155 minute thumbnail 05:02 am gallons of water... per person, per day. water restrictions also go into effect today in rio rancho from 10 a-m to 6 p-m ..
