the lowest minute thumbnail 03:15 pm interrupt golf for just a moment to tell you about a big wild fire that's flared up in ruidoso.this is a picture just sent in of the huge fire. we are told it's burning directly behind the racetrack at ruidoso downs in vilan canyon. we told e fire is heading east. law enforcement has begun asking residents along the north side of highway 70 to evacuate as a precaution....we are to up to 100 homes could be threatened right now. we talked to someone in capitan about 20 miles away and they say they can see the smoke from there. strong winds are really fanning this fire with winds blowing more than 40 miles per hour. we have crews on the way and we are in touch with city officials in ruidoso. stay tuned to kob eyewitness news 4 and kob.com fo
