Crews contain 15% of Sevilleta Fire south of Belen

crews are gaining ground on a 2-thousand acre fire near socorro and tell us they have at least 15 percent of it contained. we sent our eddie garcia to the command center that's been set up on the boys ranch near highway 60 he joins us live with what crews are working on right now. just last night you could see flames in the field near the boys ranch - but now there's nothing but billowing smoke. still big machinery is on standby and over 200 fire fighters are ready to jump at a moment's notice. here's how it looked last night as crews struggled to keep up with the flames but today it's more of a maintenance job for crews who are constantly putting out hotspots. fire officials here tell me air support helped crews with the battle this morning but were minute thumbnail 10:07 pm moved out later in the day. as it stands now 200 hundred fire fighters are working in rotation to completely put out this fire that's only 15 percent contained. just the nature of the beast it's still going to be a threat until we get it 100% mopped up
