Suspect kills himself in Menaul SWAT stand off

police say a nearly 4 hour swat standoff ended just about 3 hours ago with a man killing himself in a motel. the situation kept menual between university and vassar shut down while swat officers tried to coax kidnapping suspect carlos crespin out of the rodeway inn. the swat forced nearby businesses-- including the range cafe-- to evacuate. officers had been looking for crespin after he waived a gun and ran away from an undercover officer trying to buy heroin from him on saturday.
