Roswell PD seek person of interest in major gun heist

suspect in a weekend double murder. rio arriba county deputies are looking for 35-year-old jody romero. he's accused of killing amanda romero and delfino fernandez near truchas... in rio arriba county. we're told jody romero is not related to amanda romero. the victims were found shot to death, at a home off state road 76. deputies tell us they've been following several leads, including a possible sighting that led to the ckdown of an elementary school in cordova this morning. but jody romero is still on the run tonight. he is considered armed and dangerous. roswell police are trying to track down a man who could know something about one of the biggest gun thefts they've ever seen. 19 year old billy joe hammonds has disappeared from the area and detectives want to talk with him. police say hammond could have information about a burglary at this gun shop in roswell. in february-- someone used a brick to smash their way inside -- then stole thousands of dollars worth of guns.
