After more than 10 hours, there's still no sign of 3 year old Ismyella Rodriguez and the man police say violently kidnapped her, Mario Rodriguez. Just before noon Tuesday, Rodriguez allegedly kicked in the door of a northeast Albuquerque apartment and took the young girl from her baby sitter, knocking her off the second story balcony. The woman was treated at a hospital for her injuries. The baby sitter's mother told KOB that she talked to Mario Rodriguez Tuesday at the complex and he said he wanted to take Ismyella for the afternoon, before storming into the apartment to take her. "I guess he socked my daughter in the face, knocked her down off the stairs and snatched the baby and ran," she told KOB. After receiving conflicting reports by police, it is uncertain if Rodriguez is the girl's biological father or if he has custodial rights. A copy of Ismyella's birth certificate does not list a father's name. A family member told KOB Tuesday that Rodriguez is an ex-boyfriend.
