Family of man accused of kidnapping denies charges

tonight we hear from the family of the man accused of kidnapping a three year old girl and setting off an amber alert. they say police have the entire story wrong-- and they called us, saying they want to set things straight. our kayla anderson talked to them and has the story. mario rodriguez's niece says there's no denying ismyella rodriguez loves her daddy. "we had to go get a minute thumbnail 06:35 pm home dna test and it proved that he was the father and that's why he had ismyella because he is the father." now three years old-- police found ismyella at the route 66 casino hotel tuesday night-- putting an end to an amber alert and massive search. "she was checked out by rescue. she was placed on a 48 hour hold and i know right now they're looking for foster for her temporarily." police aested those in the room with her... including the little girl's grandpa, her aunt and a family friend... as well as mario rodriguez. rodriguez's niece says he went to see the girl yesterday at this apartment complex-- concerned about her safety. "the baby was telling us that she'd been locked in a closet and that she'd been hit and that her mother's girlfriend was very mean to her."
