e police are on the hunt for the driver of a car who may have caused yesterday's bizzare crash involving gunshots, injured children and the death of a great grandmother. kob eyewitness news 4 was the only station to bring you the story last night and now we're getting a better idea of what exactly happened. one of the children injured, a 3 year old, is still recovering at unm-hospital tonight. that's where eddie garcia is live with new information in tonight's big story. eddie. this young child's condition isn't being released right now but we do know the child's 8 year old sibling minute thumbnail 05:01 pm has been released from the hospital in santa fe. tonight police tell us the childrens' great grandmother, 80 year old ramona romero, was the one killed in last night's violent two car crash at the intersection of paseo del sol and airport road. investigators now think the driver of the car that hit the family was being chased and shot at by people in a white ford mustang which took off after the crash. right now police say they have some good leads as to where that mustang could be. meanwhile the driver of the car who hit the family is awaiting charges. we're also told the district attorney will determine whether the driver of the mustang will also face vehicular homicide charges. investigators tell us they have some video of the incident from an unentified source. right now they're not releasing it because they say they're using it to help them catch the people involved. stay with us as we bring you more details. live at unm- hospital, eddie garcia kob eyewitness news 4. a little bit of a break from the wind today here in albuquerque. but other parts of the state are still seeing some strong wind.
