Testimony continues Wednesday in the DWI trial for a man accused of killing four Santa Fe teenagers. Investigators say Scott Owens swerved into the wrong lane on the old Las Vegas Highway just after midnight on June 28, 2009. His car crushed a Subaru the teens were riding in. Four teens died in the crash. A fifth was hospitalized. Deputies say Owens' blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. Several teens took the stand Tuesday to testify that they saw Owens driving in the wrong lane. The defense tried to poke holes in the testimony, making the case that the teens' car was actually at fault in the crash. The defense has admitted that Owens was drunk at the time of the crash, but they are building their case based on a theory that another teenage driver may have tried to pass the victims' car right before the accident, clipping that car in the process.
