after a rare saturday trial hearing in the case against suspected drunk driver scott owens- both the prosecution and defense have finished presenting evidence in the crash that killed 4 santa fe teens. and today's testimony- painted the picture that owens' car- never swerved from his lane. bureau chief-- gadi schwartz is live from santa fe- to explain. gadi? in the last testimony jurors will hear in this case- experts and several witnesses took the stand for scott owens' defense. today the jury heard from a mechanic who testified that scott owens did not appear to be turning when the crash happened. that contradicts the states expert witness who told the jury that owens tires appeared to have been turning - after several witnesses reported seeing his headlights partially in the wrong lane. the defense also called on a witness who- described seeing the caravan of teens speeding before the crash happened. but that witness also said he never saw any of the teens try to pass each other on the 2 lane road like the defense has suggested. 123 one in front of the other? from what i could see, yes, you never saw anyone try to pass you never saw anybody or the two cars driving side by side. no. on monday the trial will resume with closing arguments- and jury instructions- and the jury could begin deliberations by the afternoon. scott owens could face more than 27 years in prison
