Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz announced on Monday that an officer recently indicted in his wife's 2007 murder has been fired. On April 7th, a grand jury indicted Levi Chavez for the murder of his wife who was killed in 2007. At that time Shultz said Chavez would be placed on administrative leave and could possibly be fired within 10 days. On Monday, Chavez was scheduled for a hearing with APD and he didn't show up, so he was fired on terms of the indictment. Chavez is expected to be arraigned before a Valencia County judge on April 25th.
