A Bloomfield property owner is raising a stink after he woke up this morning to find backed up sewage in his home—running into his yard. Gary Shelton said this is the second time it has happened in the past few months and most of the sewage is coming from other people's homes. He told us they have used everything from rags to clothing to try and clean up the mess. "I came outside and unscrewed the sewer cap plug and just gallons upon gallons…probably thousands if not…of raw sewage spilling out on our property," said Shelton. Crews were out all morning working on the problem. We contacted the city of Bloomfield and they said the problem was a backup in the city pipes. City officials said they'll cover the cost of damage for the property owner.
