Snow downs power supplies in U.S.
January 21, 2007
Heavy snowfall in the US brings mid west to a halt as power goes down and residents flock to shelters. The midwestern United States is again blanketed by a winter storm that has left ice-slicked roads and thousands of homes without power. In Wichita, Kansas ten inches of snow is expected by dawn on Sunday (January 21) with more forecast for early next week. The same area was hit in December by a snow storm that left 66-thousand homes without power.
