we're working on getting more information -- and we'll have more for you on this breaking story tonight at six. one of the biggest american flags in albuquerque is stolen and vandalized ... now police are looking for who did it. jeremy jojola is live at hinkle family fun center, on indian school and tramway... where the flag was stolen. he has tonight's big story. jeremy? some daring vandals manged to cut down down a massive american flag well known here at hinkle family fun center... they cut down... and spray painted it ... the flag was then found around the courner behind the movie theater here. this is a look at the flag, vandalize flag with green and white spray paint.... it's a massive flag that weighs 70 pounds---and is 20 by 30 feet big. the cost of this thing is 15- hundred dollars, and the ropes, which were cut, cost another 400 dollars. the owner of hinkle put up the minute thumbnail 05:01 pm flag shortly after 9/11 to show his patriotism.. the manager of hinkle says it's all dissappointing. "we'll we hope they get caught, because they're gonna talk to someone and someone's gonna turn them in we hope." "you know they need to serve some hard time or do something, it'll teach someone that they can't do this sort of thing to someone's property." maybe police will catch these guys----apparently there is some survellance video of the vandalism... as for a new flag ...the owner hopes to have a new one up before memorial day. reporting live at hinkle family fun center, jeremy jojola, k-o-b eyewitness news four.
