a new mexico mother tells the horrifying story -- of how her two-year-old daughter had a close call with tornados---not once, but twice. minute thumbnail 06:01 pm the los lunas mother went to joplin, missouri to get her daughter, after she survived sunday's tornado that killed at least 126 others. but on the way home, they met up with another tornado in oklahoma. cristina rodda is here with their amazing story of survival. crystal garcia-anaya and her two year old daughter ann marie were less than two miles from a deadly twister in oklahoma. "we got on the road and not even five minutes on the road the tornadoes we heard, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown and it was the five tornadoes and we were surrounded by at least four of them." this is some of destruction caused by the terrifying twister that tried to devour crystal garcia anaya and her two year old daughter ann marie as the two traveled through, oklahoma tuesday. "we felt our truck pulled back and be lifted, and our driver was flooring the vehicle and it was only going three miles per hour." crystal covered her daughter with a blanket, then with her minute thumbnail 06:02 pm body-- a mother desperate to protect her little girl. looking behind me and all i saw was pitch black and swirls and i said just floor it just get us out of here." the tornado they escaped flipped this semi-- and tore apart parts of tornado alley. what's even more amazing is-- this is was the second tornado for little ann marie in just a few days. in this video of the joplin tornado-- little ann marie was crouched down on the floor-- surrounded by family--- in a small hallway of a family member's home. "it's a miracle that 26 people made it out alive and they had no basement." this is what's left. her mother rushed to joplin to get ann marie to safety-- not knowing they'd encounter another tornado in oklahoma. i just know i want to live each day as best as i can with her and do as much as i can to teach her everything i can in the minute thumbnail 06:03 pm short time that i have wit her because i don't know the next day she's noit going to be here." crystal's husband is still in joplin-- helping his family recover from the massive tornado that hit there. he is expected home this weekend.
