"i'm kind of glad the wind is staying calm, you never know with these winds. as long as we have clear white smoke, i think we are pretty much set. "i don't think that there's any threat to luna today. now if we have unusual wind activity and it stands up then we are dealing with a different situation." some folks are leaving the luna reserve area today. for those who are staying, there's a very specific warning to let them know when it is just time to get out of the area. we'll talk more about that and hear from luna residents about this ordeal that could last for many more days coming up at 6. live in luna, cristina rodda, kob eyewitness news 4. less than half an hour ago we got word that governor susana martinez will be in reserve tomorrow to meet with state and local leaders about the fire. the last official update from the eastern arizona management team puts the fire at 386-thousand acres. fire crews worked overnight in arizona to keep the fire from destroying homes in eager and springerville. thousands were evacuated from both towns yesterday. the national guard in luna began assisting incident command today. as we told you yesterday, governor martinez deployed troops to help where they're needed. we're told right now the guard is patrolling roads, helping with road closures and also assisting people who are evacuating. firefighters have lost some ground on the other large fire burning in southeastern arizona. the horseshoe two fire has grown to 116-thousand acres. federal firefighters say it's now at 40-percent containment -- down from 50- percent -- after the blaze jumped fire lines- because of high winds.
