"it's unacceptable, when you're in a position like that a lot of people trust you, and more reaction from unm students about today's arrest. live team coverage starts now. police say garcia -- now a part-time professor at unm -- played a critical role in recruiting the women for the website. with the arrest of an east coast professor earlier this week, and today's arrest of garcia a lot of people you are wondering if more educators could be involved in the ring. heather mills start our live team coverage from a-p-d headquarters with an answer. detectives say right now there's no reason to think there's any other education connection.. that the fact f. chris garcia of u-n-m and the site's owner david flory were professors... could be just coincidence. investigators say this was a complex organization.. they've been working the case for almost seven months and its far from over. detectives say garcia was not only a moderator on the website "southwest companions".. meaning his responsibility was to make sure the johns weren't undercover officers... but he was also involved in recruiting women from other sites to join... he was part of the group called the "hunt club." "what the hunt club was, was a small group of rougly 7 members and their job was to, look for new talent as they called it, for the website. this meant procuring women from out of state, or out of the area to try to bring in and join the website." detectives couldn't say whether any of the women are past or present u-n-m students. live from apd headquarters, heather mills, kob eye witness ws four. garcia has a long history with unm..... he's has been a part of it's faculty and administration since 1970. then in 2002.... served as interim president of the college. garcia also went to unm....where he earned his bachelors and masters degrees. word of garcia's arrest sent shockwaves through u-n-m's campus. many students say the arrest is a black eye for the university. jeff maher spoke with students and stopped by garcia's house. he continues our live team coverage live from u-n-m. jeff. the shock of garcia's arrest is still setting in with students and staff here on campus. students i talked to are amazed that someone who, for a time, held the highest position at u-n-m -- is now facing charges for helping to organize an online prostitution ring. we went to a home address listed for f. chris garcia near tramway and lomas. nobody was there -- and his neighbors were gone too. at his office in the political science building, his door remains shut, and locked. students have plenty of things to say about garcia's arrest. "it's unacceptable, when you're in a position like that a lot of people trust you, they trust the university that the university is hiring all of the right people and we have someone who is in charge of something that goes against what the university stands for" "there's always those high-ranking people who you think you can trust them because they are high authority, but you still have to watch out for them" "it's kind of sad and it's kind of sick, he's a person who obviously makes a good salary, he doesn't need any more money, especially not this way" the staff working on garcia's floor did not want to comment on his arrest. but they appeared shaken up, and surprised over what had happened. "as busy as a student is and how much time we put into education, it just amazes me what some people do with their free time" earlier today unm released a statement about the investigation. officials say they will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement...an d say the media reports about the investigation are deeply disturbing. it also goes on to say that it's important to get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible. reporting live at unm jeff maher - kob eyewitness news four. today's arrest of former unm president f. chris garcia brings the total number of arrests in the case to five. police say there were about 14-hundred clients...most of them in new mexico... they say 15 women were providing sexual services. be sure to stay with k-o-b eyewitness news four for more developments on this case. tonight at ten... hear how police say those connected to the website warned each other about police activity
